Kris Helm

Kris Helm, assistant director, joined OCS in 2019. As a registered nurse, Kris educates our youth about their medications, health maintenance, and being proactive with their health care needs.

As assistant director, Kris leads house managers, including their daily monitoring of youth’s progress in developing critical life skills. Whether the youth age out of the system, are adopted, or reintegrate with family, the life skills they learn at OCS will strengthen the transition.

Kris has seven adoptive children and was a foster parent for 12 years, which helps her understand and empathize with OCS youth. She is a guardian of three special needs adults living in our community. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and  enjoys attending as many of her kids’ extra-curricular activities as possible.
