Kim Jaymes, Administrative Officer
Kim joined The Shelter, Inc. in 1996 in a part-time secretarial position and became the full time business manager in 1998. Prior to that, she taught daycare/preschool locally and was a United Methodist youth worker in volunteer and paid positions for several years. Kim grew up in Topeka and Lawrence, and values the vibrant, supportive community that is Lawrence, KS. At home, she loves to read, spends time with family and friends, and is learning to kayak. At work, she keeps up with technology, business administration, and managing the agency’s financial operations. Kim has specialized training in Trauma Informed Care, and is a SHRM Certified Professional.
